"Will was truly great in helping me sell my first home. Will’s name was given to me by two separate people I work with, both with glowing reviews. When I started looking around for an agent, I was surprised by the number of my co-workers who didn’t want to recommend who they had used.
As an single Active Duty Officer with orders out of state, and no desire to become a landlord from afar, and I was terrified that the market was still very soft and my home would take months to sell. One of my co-workers had been advised by his realtor to give “at least six months” for his house to be on the market before expecting any offers. There were condos in my neighborhood that had been on the market for over 3 months, and I had seen on particular unit that had gone through at least two different real estate agents and remained on the market for at least a six months or greater. It still hadn’t sold by the time I had closed on my home.
As I was out of town for the actual closing on the purchase of my home, I really was a “first time real estate” anything. Will took the time to answer all my questions, give me advice on where to look for hints in staging my home and explaining how the market value was established. I took his advice and really worked hard at getting the house ready to put on the market. Within the first week we had showings, and kept getting a really steady stream of buyers through the house. After just five weeks on the market, I accepted a very strong offer and we closed less than six weeks later. Will handled the inspections, the walk-throughs, and every little detail, so I could just focus on moving myself. Even the closing went really well and fairly quickly.
My first home selling experience was terrific with Will Layton as my agent. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who was looking not only to sell, but anyone who was in the market to purchase a home. We really didn't know what was most important to us in buying a home until we talked to Will. My fiance suggested that I contact Will Layton, and it was the best decision that I ever made.
"Like many people, I had the daunting task of planning a wedding, a honeymoon, and fixing my house in order to sell all at the same time. Unfortunately, it came down to about to about three weeks before my wedding, and I still hadn't even finished rehabbing my house, let alone found a real estate agent to list it.
